Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site Revised Research Framework (SARRF) Consultation

In 2012 Wessex Archaeology updated and revised the archaeological Research Framework for Stonehenge and & Avebury World Heritage Site, on behalf of English Heritage.  Now you have the opportunity to input on what questions we should be asking about these sites in future research projects.

Here is an opportunity for you to help shape archaeological research at Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site.

For the first time, both areas of the World Heritage Site will be united into a single archaeological Research Framework, which will guide the priorities of future research at these internationally important landscapes.

Our project team is keen to receive comments on the draft Framework documents and to hear your ideas on future investigations.

What do we already know?

The Framework is supported by a review of existing knowledge (known as a Resource Assessment) which is now publically available for consultation via the SARRF website.

What would we like to know?

The draft Research Agenda, which is also available via the website, provides an initial list of potential topics and questions for future research. We would like to know what questions in the agenda you would like answered.

Please email your comments and suggestions to sarrfcomments@gmail.com

Consultation will close in October, after which all comments will be carefully considered and reflected in the final revised Research Framework documents.

Have your say in shaping the future of research at Stonehenge and Avebury
