Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site Revised Research Framework (SARRF) Consultation

In 2012-13 Wessex Archaeology updated and revised the archaeological Research Framework for Stonehenge and & Avebury World Heritage Site, on behalf of English Heritage. The public was given the opportunity to input on what questions we should be asking about these sites in future research projects.

For the first time, both areas of the World Heritage Site; Stonehenge and Avebury, have been united into a single archaeological Research Framework, which will guide the priorities of future research at these internationally important landscapes.
Over the course of a year our project team received comments on the draft Framework documents and heard your ideas on future investigations. These ideas are currenntly being incorporated into the original draft Research Agenda. The original Resource Assessment (review of existing knowledge) for this project is also available via the SARRF website.
Consultation for this project is now closed.
