Welcome to an exciting, colourful new resource from English Heritage! This comprehensive teacher’s kit will provide you with all you need to know about the history of the World Heritage Site at Avebury in Wiltshire, with plenty of suggested activities to do before, during and after your visit.
Each section can be downloaded free of charge. The activity sheets are aimed at pupils at key stage 2 and key stage 3 and, if you wish, you can use the images in the image bank to create your own activities. You can use them on your whiteboard too.
All the images are copyright cleared for educational use.
The pack has been produced for English Heritage by Wessex Archaeology.
We would love to hear from anyone who has used the kit as part of a unit of study or a field trip: if you have any feedback or questions (or photos of the kit being used!), please contact Lucy Bradley, Education Manager for English Heritage (South West) on 0117 975 0729 or email lucy.bradley@english-heritage.org.uk
The reports are in Adobe PDF format. A free viewer is available to download.
