Candy has recently joined Wessex Archaeology and leads on land based Heritage Consultancy from our Edinburgh office. Prior to joining Wessex she was an Inspector of Ancient Monuments for Historic Scotland where she dealt with the full range of heritage issues including the development of an Inventory of Historic Battlefields and all aspects of the Scottish Government’s heritage policies and legislation.
Candy has also worked as a Senior Archaeologist for a number of Edinburgh based commercial practices since 2000 and has had experience of all types of sites across Scotland. Whilst having an excellent knowledge of the Environmental Statement practice and process, she has particular expertise in digital survey techniques, industrial archaeology and the assessment of historic buildings and landscapes.
