Having joined Wessex in 2010 Helen has ultimate responsibility for business operations in the south east. She was formerly an Associate with ARUP Environmental, leading the London Cultural Heritage Team, and providing advice on a wide range of historic environment and infrastructure developments.

Helen previously worked as the Archaeology Manager for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (High Speed 1) where she was responsible for the biggest series of archaeological and historic building recording works ever undertaken in the UK, reconciling the competing concerns of environment and construction.

Prior to High Speed 1 Helen was a Senior Archaeologist for Chris Blandford Associates and involved in major schemes from optioneering, environmental impact assessment and public inquiry through to construction.
