Tom began his career in field archaeology and historic building recording, gaining experience which he built on through work in building conservation and consultancy. In recent years he has worked in both the UK and Norway carrying out a wide range of heritage projects and joined Wessex Archaeology in June 2013. He is currently studying for a masters in Sustainable Heritage at The Bartlett, University College London.
 
He views heritage as an essential part of our physical and cultural environment and uses his experience to provide informed advice concerning its best management as a resource. His work includes a range of heritage services including Conservation Management, Heritage Statements, Historic Building Appraisals and Historic Building Recording, Condition Assessment, Sustainability Planning and Archaeology and Historic Landscape Assessment.
