Learning and Access
Time Travelling by Water logoAs an educational charity, Wessex Archaeology aims to make the results and progress of this project available as widely as possible – to both professionals and the general public.
We are working closely with other organisations to ensure that data gathered throughout this project is available to heritage and industry professionals. This study will also inform projects relating to commercial use of our marine resource, including Regional Environmental Characterisation studies and the Anglian Marine Aggregates Regional Environmental Assessment.
The results of the project will be made available and accessible to the public through Time Travelling by Water, the outreach element of Wessex Archaeology’s coastal and marine section. Online, this will be done through these web-pages and a series of podcasts recorded to form part of Wessex Archaeology’s popular Archaeocast series.
The Area 240 project is also enabling Time Travelling by Water to visit schools in Norfolk and Suffolk, to organise and attend event days and to visit local groups and societies to disseminate the project and its achievements.
On completion of the project the results of the work will be made widely available through publication and through this website.
