Last weekend, Natalia and Katie from our Edinburgh office attended Scotland’s Community Heritage Conference in Birnam. Here they ran a stall speaking to various community groups about geomatics and offering advice on technical issues and drone surveys.

They also saw a number of talks by community groups across the country presenting their projects. These covered everything from the impressive years of work creating the Gairloch Museum to capturing working class industrial history in the Garnock Valley Oral History Project or engaging non-traditional audiences in the CanalCraft Project to name just a few. It was fantastic to hear from communities about the great work that they are doing all around Scotland.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the organizers, people who took part and everyone who came to talk to us during the breaks. It was a truly enjoyable and inspiring day.
