Heritage Consultancy

My day to day role involves the preparation of a variety of desk-based reports for Environmental Impact Assessment and planning submissions, in addition to providing consultation and advice to our clients around the mitigation of development related impacts on the historic environment. I have a particular interest in the international application of Environmental Impact Assessment and the preservation of heritage in rapidly developing economies, such as Africa and Asia. I also coordinate Wessex Archaeology North’s community and outreach activities.  I am passionate about the progressive conservation of heritage, through the creation of solutions which neither fossilise the landscape nor inhibit necessary progress.

Outside of work, I continue to pursue my personal research interests which are Nilotic ceramics (particularly Kerma period vessels from northern Sudan). I am also an avid traveller, foodie, swimmer and occasional musician.
