The role – what’s involved? 

An opportunity has arisen for additional geophysicists to join the Geoservices Team. The successful candidates will be well-placed to develop and improve their existing geophysics skills and will have the opportunity to work on some of the most interesting development projects in the UK today. 

Main responsibilities will include:

  • To be responsible for assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive range of geophysical surveys (gradiometer, resistivity, GPR, EM, ERT) on field investigations across the UK.
  • To assist in the preparation, checking, editing, collation, and processing of digital data.
  • To assist other members of the team with project-specific research to support and inform the preparation of reports. 

Essential requirements:

  • Educated to at least degree level in an appropriate subject or to hold demonstrable experience to an equivalent level.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Works as part of a team, supports and assists others.
  • Flexible in their approach, working hours and working away from home to meet project needs and the demands of the role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence. 

Desirable:  

  • Experienced in undertaking a range of survey techniques within deadlines.
  • Membership of an appropriate accredited professional body.
