Wessex Archaeology is excited to announce the launch of our online Stone Age to Iron Age course! We have partnered with CENTURY, a personalised learning platform, which tackles the two largest issues in education: the inadequate ‘one size fits all’ delivery of education and the immense workload strains faced by teachers. Our course is hosted on CENTURY’s platform and is available to everyone!

The course allows students to log onto CENTURY, work through the materials on the different ages, and finally complete quiz questions to test their knowledge. Teachers will also have an account on CENTURY where they’re able to view the progress of their students as well as set further tasks.

Wessex Archaeology will be adding more courses on CENTURY throughout the year, so keep an eye out for these.

The CENTURY platform offers a range of GCSE and KS2 courses and the technology will track and highlight students’ strengths and gaps in knowledge, and send them personalised learning recommendations based on their ability. The more a student works on the platform, the more tailored these recommendations become!
