Andrew joined WA in 2011 as a Senior Project Manager and is now responsible for Wessex Archaeology’s offices in the North and Wales, and co-ordinating business development and resources across these regions. As well as generating work in Wales, Yorkshire and the Midlands, Andrew has helped expand the core business to include projects from as far afield as Suffolk, Gloucestershire and Cumbria. Andrew specialises in fieldwork and is also an experienced post-excavation manager with an extensive publication record. At WA Andrew has managed a diverse range of projects including the excavation of medieval and post-medieval burials at Wakefield Cathedral, a 19th century glass works in Mexborough, large scale Iron age and Romano-British excavations at Rossington and East Midlands Gateway, and the excavation of prehistoric and Roman remains on the A556 Knutsford to Bowden Bypass and the A453 Widening near Nottingham.
