Chris has been with Wessex since 1997 and is currently responsible for the growth of the business within the north of England, prior to which he led the provision of UK wide historic environment consultancy services. Before joining Wessex, Chris spent three years as a Planning Archaeologist in Berkshire, working closely with planners and developers. Over these years he has been involved in numerous road schemes including the A303 Stonehenge, the New M4 project and the A1(M).

Chris is a professional archaeologist with over 20 years extensive experience of consultancy, assessment, project design, management and public inquiry work. He has particular experience of archaeology in the planning process and archaeology on large infrastructure schemes.
