Expertise

Geomatics & Survey

Based in Salisbury, I oversee a team of specialists capturing and processing high quality metric survey data to support the work of our company and our clients. After graduating with a BA in Ancient History and Archaeology I worked for a number of years as a field archaeologist on a wide variety of sites across the UK, before training in site survey and AutoCAD and moving into geomatics.

I went on to work as a Measured Building Surveyor for an independent firm, where I focussed on laser scanning and built a portfolio 2D drawings and 3D models for development projects. I grew as the company did, and as a manager I was instrumental in driving quality improvements across the business. I was delighted when the opportunity arose to bring this skillset back to archaeology.

I am naturally curious about the world around me and my professional life has been dedicated to analysing and recording it. Geospatial technologies are constantly evolving, and I am motivated by knowing new and better ways of capturing that data are always waiting to be discovered.

Outside of work I love to explore, going on adventures with my two whippets and doing field archery. I also like to relax at home with some yoga or a good book.
