Hey guys, I’m Sam!

I joined Wessex Archaeology in November 2020 as a Videographer and Sound Engineer based at the Salisbury office. I’ve been employed into this funded role thanks to the HE Cultural Recovery Fund, that will allow me to produce content that can be shared across multiple social channels. This will enable me to give the audience an insight into what Wessex Archaeology do as well as engage with the wider community to help educate and inform people with the history that surrounds them.

I recently graduated from Solent University in the Summer of 2020, achieving a First-Class Honours degree in Television and Video Production. Throughout my studies I was fortunate to gain experience working as a documentary camera operator at Glastonbury Festival and for the BT Sport fishing programme ‘On The Bank’. I have also spent 2 years working for Southampton Football Club operating the match day big screen and covering U18 and U23 games as a cameraman.

I like to keep active and am an outdoors person, who has a passion for wildlife and conservation, often taking my camera with me photographing nature. Away from my camera I’m a keen sports fan and can be found watching almost any competitive sport from cycling to Tennis.
