Having worked 16 years in commercial field archaeology I am really delighted that I have been offered a Research Officer position in the Bristol office. As a Research Officer, I will be co-ordinating contributions to post-excavation work stages and projects, as well as assessing, analysing and reporting on fieldwork data. Having much experience in all stages of excavation, a key part of my role will be to support and assist in the development and integration of fieldwork and post-excavation processes. I am very excited to take my place as Research Officer in the Bristol office and start my new role! After a week of training in the Salisbury office I have been given the task to assess, analyse and write up Post-excavation publications for many sites. During my induction week I have realised that co-ordinating contributions for post-excavation work stages and projects will not be an easy task and that it will take time, but it is a challenge I am happy to accept. I intend to effectively communicate and liaise with fellow researchers, colleagues, internal and external specialists, applying a clear and systematic approach to my new role. I am confident that these new challenges are going to further develop my research and analytical skills!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my training week at Salisbury office. I am very thankful to the Research Specialist team, in particular Pippa Bradley, Gail Wakeham and Robert Clarke, to have put together the training programme and for giving me the opportunity to meet and be welcomed by everybody in the Salisbury Office!
