Patrick Daniel

Based in the Sheffield office where I carry out post-excavation analysis, reporting and publication. I have over 20 years’ experience in field archaeology and have been writing up projects for over half of that time. I also undertake outreach and social media work.

I am keen to understand how the landscape around me formed, how its past inhabitants responded to change, and to pass on that knowledge to the wider world. I enjoy finding patterns, parallels and meaning within archaeological archives, and seeing third parties use our data as part of their research. I also enjoy mentoring junior staff in fieldwork and writing skills.
