Manager Key staff Inclusion, Community & Education

I am really excited to be a part of the team at Wessex Archaeology. My role as Education and Community Manager gives me the opportunity to engage communities and enable them to discover stories from the past that enhance their knowledge of arts, culture heritage and science.

My specialist skills are engaging non traditional audiences with heritage activity, enabling communities to find inspiration, relevance and a sense of place through artifacts and objects.

I have twelve years experience of developing and delivering exciting youth and community engagement programmes. Archaeology is a fantastic medium for cross curricular teaching and I enjoy developing resources and training teachers and volunteers to work with young people using archaeology as inspiration for the arts, science, literacy and PSHE.

I am lucky to have been fortunate in my career and enjoy supporting those at the start of their careers in heritage with developing their skills through volunteering, work placements and training.

My passion for education continues outside work where I teach dance. I love being outdoors and enjoy sailing, camping and road trips in my Citroën 2cv.
