Expertise

Heads Post-Excavation

I joined Wessex Archaeology in 2021 as Environmental Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the environmental archaeology team and supporting the delivery of high-profile projects across residential development, infrastructure, and renewable energy. Alongside this, I developed an external portfolio of clients, applying palaeoenvironmental expertise to a range of bespoke commissions. I have a particular interest in heritage-led nature recovery, using archaeological and palaeoenvironmental evidence to help inform greener futures and to engage wider audiences with our work.

In 2025, I assumed the role of Head of Post-Excavation Specialist Services, overseeing the Finds, Environmental, Processing, and Studio teams. My focus is on innovative approaches to post-excavation and on aligning workloads to ensure work is delivered efficiently and to a consistently high standard. I am privileged to work with a large group of industry-leading specialists and am keen to continue exploring how we add value to our archaeological work.

My research interests lie in archaeoentomology, and I continue to work on insect assessment and analysis for archaeological reports and publications. I am also an active public speaker and enjoy engaging new audiences and inspiring enthusiasm for our shared cultural heritage.
