Ian Atkins

I have worked in commercial archaeology for over 10 years and joined Wessex Archaeology in 2017 as Graphics Officer for the Sheffield office, where I spend my time preparing illustrations for client reports and publications. 

I have always been interested in using innovative technologies to record and present archaeological data and am not only proficient in the use of graphics software such as AutoCAD and the Adobe suite, but also ArcGIS for processing spatial data.

 I am fascinated by the way archaeology has been presented visually in the past and how this is constantly developing. This motivates me to try and produce high-quality graphics using cutting-edge techniques.
