Expertise

Marine Services

In 2023, I joined the Marine Services team based in Salisbury. My work is multidisciplinary, including writing desk-based assessments, creating written schemes of investigations and researching various maritime artefacts. I also undertake a wide variety of fieldwork, such as intertidal walkover surveys and monitoring marine works.

Before joining Wessex Archaeology, I studied Maritime Archaeology at the University of Leiden. Throughout my study and my previous jobs, I was involved in several marine archaeology projects, including ship timber recording, wreck research (both on land and on the seabed), and writing (research) reports.

I am passionate about working in Marine Archaeology. It allows me to encounter unique finds and visit places that few people get to experience. I love unravelling the mysteries of these places, their discoveries and sharing their stories with the public. Maritime Archaeology belongs to everyone and should be experienced together.

In my spare time I am involved in the Dutch NAS (LWAOW) as secretary and I participate in various voluntary maritime archaeology diving projects.
