Sara Willis

My role as the Development Officer involves developing and delivering the Wessex Archaeology strategy to fund public benefit initiatives. I share the ambition to enrich lives through engagement with arts, heritage and culture.

I joined Wessex Archaeology in 2020 at a really exciting time; I aim to help enact Wessex Archaeology’s belief in the instrumental value of cultural heritage and the positive contribution it can make to society through community, education, health and wellbeing.

I have worked in the Arts and Heritage sector for more than 10 years, many of them spent as Development Officer at the Salisbury Museum. I have a track record of gaining support from Statutory funders, Trusts and Foundations and through Individual Giving. Relationship building is instrumental in building strong relationships with all funders and supporters.
