Dr Dan Atkinson and John McCarthy from WA Coastal & Marine, and Steve Liscoe of Fife Council, ran a one day course introducing nautical archaeology and the Nautical Archaeology Society to a group of recreational divers. The day included a mix of theory and practical sessions.

The morning was spent going over the basics of maritime archaeology, including how to survey a site. In the afternoon the group moved to Musselburgh Swimming Pool to put the theory into practice. This course was supported by Historic Scotland.
