Wessex Archaeology West have recently welcomed Jennie Anderson to our ranks. Jennie joins the Bristol office as a Graphics Supervisor, bringing with her more than 10 years’ experience as an archaeological illustrator and reconstruction artist.

Jennie has solid experience of producing archaeological graphics for a wide range of clients, becoming a specialist in hand-drawn and watercolour reconstruction illustrations. She also hugely enjoys artefact illustration, and one of her career highlights (so far!) was illustrating spectacular prehistoric finds in Turkey in the summer of 2017. She is also very interested in outreach and education and is motivated by the role high-quality graphics play in making archaeology more accessible and understandable to people outside of the sector.

In her spare time, Jennie’s interests are many and varied; she is keen to keep learning new skills and exploring new pastimes. Her hobbies currently include longbow archery and arrow-making, painting, growing tomatoes, weaving, swing dancing, yoga, knitting, and tending to her ever-expanding collection of rescued houseplants.
