Manager Key staff

My role is to devise and implement communications and marketing strategies to support Wessex Archaeology’s public benefit and commercial development objectives. I hope to bring an articulate and engaging voice to Wessex Archaeology’s business and charitable aims.

My background includes a strong mix of experience in heritage and communications. After a degree in Archaeology and Ancient History at Bristol University, where I enjoyed several seasons of fieldwork, I initially gained an editing role at a London media agency. I then moved on to a communications and marketing role at The National Trust. It was this role that fired my passion for engaging a wide range of audiences with the past. Most recently, I worked for a PR agency where I developed and managed communications strategies for clients across a range of industries, including engineering, retail, healthcare and sport.

I am motivated by the opportunity to put archaeology and the preservation of our historic landscape on the public agenda.

In my spare time I can usually be found doing something sporty -  whether that’s horse riding, running, skiing or rambling around the countryside (looking for a pub). I also love art and history, and will try to explore country houses, museums and exhibitions as often as possible.
